Every 2 years, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) holds its nationwide Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) event all over the country to recognize the indispensability of Filipino inventors.
This year, the DOST-IX RICE will be held on November 14-16 during the agency’s Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) celebration, where the agency’s leading programs, services and technologies will be featured.
The contest is open to both public and private sector inventors and researchers within the region. There are six (6) categories available in the invention contest: Outstanding Invention, Outstanding Utility Model, Outstanding Industrial Design, Outstanding Creative Research, and Outstanding Student Creative Research for High School and College Students.
RICE is open to all inventors, makers, designers, creative researchers and student researchers who are Filipino Citizens residing in the region.
Nominations and/or entries will be accepted only until the 20th of October 2017.
