The Department of Science and Technology IX (DOST-IX) had recently launched two (2) websites to aid in the mitigation and reduction of risk during disasters.
Developed by DOST-IV A (CALABARZON), the HaNDA or Hazard Notification, Dissemination and Awareness website is an ICT-enabled Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) system used in the gathering and dissemination of disaster-related updates, the monitoring of early warning devices, and notification of local government units (LGUs).
HaNDA Website
Following HaNDA, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council IX or RDRRMC IX website was also introduced. The website allows access to DRRM Related events in the region, a repository for Information and Education Campaign (IEC) Materials, contingency plans, as well as existing DRRM-related Programs.
RDRRMC IX Website
HaNDA and RDRRMC IX are accessible at region9.dost.gov.ph/handa and region9.dost.gov.ph/rdrrmcix respectively.
Both websites were launched during the 2017 Regional Gawad KALASAG awarding ceremony at the Zamboanga del Norte Convention Center in Dipolog City.
