The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) continues to accept nominations and entries for this season's PCAARRD awards.
Due December 31, 2016, The Pantas Award searches for outstanding scientists/researchers and research administrators. The Tanglaw Award looks for laudable research institutions.
Cash prizes, research grants (for outstanding researcher/scientist and institution) and trophies await the winners.
Scientists/researchers, research administrators and institutions that have made exemplary contributions for the advancement of agriculture, aquatic and natural resources in the Philippines are enjoined to submit their entries.
Also due on the abovementioned date, are the Dr. Elvira O. Tan (for the Aquaculture / Inland Fisheries, Agriculture, and Natural Resources and Environment Categories) and the Best R&D Paper (Research Category and Development Category) Awards.
Due February 28, 2017, are nominations and entries for the Ulat SIPAG Award for Print Category and Broadcast Categories.
Previously known as the PCAARRD Professional Media Awards, the award has been revised to become more plainfolk in nature and parallel with the other awards like the Pantas and Tanglaw awards, which are both in Tagalog. The award continues to recognize the important role and valuable support of media practitioners as a vital link between the S&T sector and its clients in technology promotion, commercialization, and adoption.
