The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - IX celebrates the 2013 Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) in Pagadian City with the theme “Science, Technology and Innovation: The Road to a Smarter Philippines.” The 4-day celebration will kick off on June 16 with Dr. Carol M. Yorobe, DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations, as the keynote speaker.
The week-long celebration is an annual opportunity for all people, especially the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), inventors and youth, to learn about the importance of science and technology, and the role it plays in our daily lives. It will run until July 19. The event is open to public with various activities which is highlighted by the technology exhibits that showcase the products of the local enterprises under the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program of DOST.
