The Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD) is now accepting nominations for the DR. ELVIRA O. TAN MEMORIAL AWARDS for two (2) Outstanding Fisheries Publication; one (1) for Marine Fisheries and one (1) in Aquaculture/Inland Fisheries for 2011.
To qualify for the nomination, the paper to be considered should: (1) be published in refered journals; (2) be an original paper; (3) be of Filipino author (main or senior author); (4) not be a review paper or manual; and (5) have been published either in foreign or local journals within the last five years prior to date of the award in July 2011.
The selection for nominees will be based on the following criteria: (1) contribution to industry; (2) technical output (methodology, results, conclusion); and (3) sustainability environment.
Qualified nominees will be required to submit five (5) reprints of each paper together with a nomination/endorsement letter from any individual or institution. And these should be sent to:

Deadline for submission is on May 31, 2011.
Awardees will be given cash prizes and plaques of recognition during the celebration of the National Science and Technology Week in July 2011.
