DOST-IX recently hosted the benchmarking activity of the NEDA-IX team headed by Dir. Phlorita A. Ridao. The activity focused on DOST-IX’s information systems (both developed and adopted) and ICT best practices, including in-place policies.
The activity was led by Mr. Aris D. Moratalla of the Management Information Systems (MIS) Unit and Ronnel B. Gundoy of the Supply Unit. NEDA-IX will evaluate the presented information systems for their adoption to further optimize their operations.
These DOST-IX-developed information systems include the Stock Control and Inventory Management System (SCIMS) and the Finance and Administrative Information Management System (FAIMS). DOST-IX-adopted information systems include Tracking, Retrieval, and Archiving of Communications for Efficiency (TRACE) and Vehicle Reservation and Management System (VRAMS), which were adopted from DOST-CALABARZON.
The activity was later joined by Ms. Thelma E. Diego, Head of the Planning Unit, who reiterated the importance and impact of the implemented information systems.
