The Department of Science and Technology's Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) recently announced that the application deadline for the 2022 Undergraduate Scholarship Program is extended until 31 December 2021, to provide potential science scholars more time to complete their documents.

The Department of Science and Technology Region IX (DOST IX) thru the RxBOx Team together with PSTC-ZDN Director Mr. Nuhman M. Aljani deployed the RxBox devices to Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center in Dipolog City and Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital in Dapitan City on November 30, 2021.

DOST-IX deployed telemedicine device in ZamPen Hospitals

The RxBox telemedicine device was distributed to Zamboanga Peninsula hospitals just recently by DOST-IX RxBox Team. Recipients are Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, and Margosatubig Regional Hospital in Zamboanga del Sur; and Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

MAFISA Seaweed farmers received assistance from DOST IX

The current drying area of MAFISA
The Mangga Fishing Seaweeds Association (MAFISA) received Grant Assistance from DOST IX amounting to Five Hundred Sixty Three Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Pesos (P563,360.00) for the installation of Land-based Enclosed Solar Powered Seaweed Dryer and S&T Seaweed Nursery. The said dryer can operate day and night with proper ventilation because it is supported with solar energy. It is also capable to hold 2-tons per batch with a drying time of 2-3 days.

Dipolog bakeshop receives Certificate of Ownership

Care Cakes and Pastries, a local bakeshop in Dipolog City, received a Certificate of Ownership from DOST-IX through PSTC-Zamboanga del Norte after the project "Upgrading of Care Cakes and Pastries" is deemed complete.
