On July 13, 2022, DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, along with his team and DOST-IX officials and personnel led by Regional Director Martin A. Wee, visits six (6) S&T assisted projects in Zamboanga City. The visit aims to showcase the impact of DOST on the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Zamboanga Peninsula and check the growth of these MSMEs since the first DOST assistance was given to them.

Knowledge Transfer Project Concluded its 1st Cycle of SUGOD for Total Quality Management

The DOST Regional Office No. IX together with the DOST top management, 20 DOST Technical Staff (DTS) from the 16 DOST Regional Offices in the country, SME-Beneficiaries, and consultants from Quality Partners Company Ltd., successfully concluded the 1st cycle of the knowledge transfer activities and conducted the “Knowledge Transfer Project’s 1st National Symposium” with the theme: “Approach to Resiliency, Road to National Recovery” under the PCIEERD-funded project “Knowledge Transfer (KT) to DTS: Catalysts to MSMEs’ Gaining PQA for SMEs” from 9-10 June 2022 with a total of three hundred forty-two (342) participants from all over the country.

The Jose Rizal State University (JRMSU) was awarded as one of the successful universities to be part of the HEIRIT 2.0 program. The announcement was held during the program kick-off on 23 June 2022 in Davao City. HEIRIT 2.0 program is funded by DOST’s Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD).
