DOH-BHFS Confers Accreditation to Test Drinking Water to DOST IX- RSTL

Following the recent accomplishment of receiving the Certificate to operate Chemical Laboratories, the Department of Science and Technology IX- Regional Standards and Testing Laboratories (DOST IX- RSTL) receives yet another significant accreditation to be able to serve customers better. The Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau (HFSRB) conferred the accreditation to DOST IX- RSTL for Chemical, Physical, and Bacteriological Analysis to test drinking water last July 31, 2018.

LGU-Tungawan receives Kabalikat Award as Technology Partner for DOST- FNRI Malnutrition Reduction Program

KABALIKAT (Kabalikat ng Lipunan sa Kalusugang pang-Nutrisyon at Teknolohiya) confers the Certificate of Recognition to the Local Government Unit of Tungawan in Zamboanga Sibugay for their contribution to Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) Malnutrition Reduction Program (MRP). The award was given during the Kabalikat Awarding Ceremony held at the Chantara Function Hall, Dhusit Thani Manila Hotel, Makati City on July 27, 2018. The KABALIKAT (Kabalikat ng Lipunan sa Kalusugang pang-Nutrisyon at Teknolohiya) Award aims to recognize technology partners who are actively working with DOST-FNRI and LGUs in addressing the concern of malnutrition through the production of complementary food products for the feeding programs in Malnutrition Reduction Program (MRP) areas.

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. IX, through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) funded ₱16,851,000.00 worth of upgrades to boost the operation and modernize the equipment of some MSMEs from all over Zamboanga Peninsula.

DOST IX- RSTL- First Laboratory in Region IX to Receive the Certificate of Authority to Operate Chemical Laboratories

The Department of Science and Technology IX- Regional Standards and Testing Laboratories (RSTL) received its Certificate of Authority to Operate Chemical Laboratories from the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry and the Professional Regulation Commission, making it the first laboratory in Region IX to receive such certification. The certificate was issued on the 12th of March 2018, and was awarded during the egress of the 33rd Philippine Chemistry Congress, on the 1st of June 2018, at the Philippine International Convention Center, Manila, Philippines.

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. IX –Regional Standards and Testing Laboratories (DOST-IX -RSTL) opens another calibration service for sphygmomanometer starting 01 June 2018 for a fee of 750.00 pesos per unit.
